GATHER emerged from a passion for the natural world and integrating contemporary art into everyday environments. Our mission is to produce imaginative, site-specific artworks, performances and events that foster community connection, creativity, inclusion, and awareness of place through collaboration and innovation.

Meet our team

Lucy Bawden
Co-Director
Lucy is a cultural programmer and curator working at the meeting point of art, environment, and place. With experience across council culture teams, property developers, and artist-led organisations, she creates programmes rooted in nature, water, and community — from rivers and coastlines to the green and blue outdoor spaces where people gather. She served on the Chelsea Fringe organising committee for twelve years, is a fundraising trustee for ArtCan and a member of the Ocean Rising Alliance.

Matt Nightingale
Co-Director
Matt is a creative producer and project director with over 20 years of experience delivering International museum and gallery exhibitions working with Institutions like Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Wellcome Collection, public art commissions, live events, music festivals, and rural and urban placemaking projects. Specialising in location-specific work in the public realm, he brings together creative vision, strategic planning, and hands-on project delivery to create engaging experiences rooted in place.
